Recently in Austin, Texas, dogs were found deceased in a lake. Here's what is known at the time of writing.

Discovery Of The Dogs

According to FOX 7 Austin, the 11 dogs were found in South Boggy Creek. Police, after dogs were discovered in the body of water, were summoned to the scene. In addition, animal cruelty and animal protection units were brought to the scene, to collect any evidence that could lead to the perpetrator. The bodies of the dogs were also taken out of the water.

As reported by FOX 7, many were upset about the finding of the dogs.

Reactions From Those Near The Area Of Discovery

FOX 7 spoke to a neighbor, who wished to remain unknown. They told FOX 7:

"Seeing that someone did this to eleven dogs, this is just, it is heartbreaking. Although we can't do anything about what happened, we can at least show up and try to honor the dogs. They are just innocent lives, they rely on us for everything,"

They also stated: "I don't understand how it could have just been one person. I mean it's eleven dogs, I could barely handle one at a time."

The news organization also reported that members of community held a vigil for the dogs. In addition, they came to the area with flowers and sage. They also assisted in clearing the lake area of various items.
