It's time for the annual Bluebonnet Festival this weekend in Burnet, Texas!

Nestled in the heart of Texas Hill Country at the crossroads of Highways 281 and 29, the Bluebonnet Festival is packed full of fun family activities all weekend. The fun begins April 7th through the 9th.

Burnet is part of the Highland Lakes region and you will hear plenty of folks say it is one of the best spots to have a photo made with the bluebonnets when wildflower season is at it's peak. In 1981, the Texas State Legislature officially made the town of Burnet the "Bluebonnet Capital of Texas"! The Bluebonnet Festival has been a permanent part of springtime in Texas since 1983.

Tickets for the festival can be purchased at www.bluebonnettfestival.org.
