If there is one thing that ticks off just about everyone this time of year it's holiday related crimes. You can't get much lower than trying to steal someones Christmas Decorations right out of their front yard in broad daylight.

That was the situation on Friday when a Killeen resident says she went outside after hearing her dog begin to react to something going on in the front lawn. It was about 3pm on Friday afternoon when Karen Hreha says she walked outside only to see 4 men trying to disassemble her Christmas decorations.

Karen says she rushed for her phone to dial 9-1-1, and this was when the people trying to steal her decorations realized that someone was home. They quickly stopped trying to pack up the inflatables and fled the scene. Hreha told police and KXXV TV that she wants to get to the word out to protect her home as well as her neighbors She hopes the community will come together and speak up if people notice this kind of activity happening again.

This incident happened in the 5000 block of Michael Drive in Killeen.
