Temple police are investigating after thieves broke into a pizzeria and stole an entire safe full of cash, but there's a snag.

Officers responded to a report of a burglary at Cici's Pizza, 1617 Azalea Dr., at 9:47 AM Sunday, where a manager told them he'd arrived at the business at 9:30 AM and found a front window broken and a safe missing.

A preliminary investigation revealed that the suspects entered through the broken window and left through the back door.

According to Public Information Officer Shawana Neely, officers could not provide descriptions of the suspects because they were unable to view security footage. There has not been any comment on why this was the case.

The Temple Police Department's General Investigations Unit is currently investigating this case. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Temple Police Department at 254-298-5500 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-729-TIPS (Local (254) 526-TIPS). Information may also be submitted online at bellcountycrimestoppers.com. Callers may remain anonymous, all information is confidential, and information leading to an arrest could net a cash reward of up to $1,000.
