It has finally happened.  After much wait and frustration the trial date has been set for Accused Fort Hood Murderer Major Nidal Hassan.  Military Judge Col. Tara Osborn set the date for the trail and it is to begin May 29.  Osborn has allowed four weeks for jury selection and has scheduled trial testimony to being July 1st.  She did not however rule on the defense motion to have the trial moved away from Fort Hood.

Hasan has been in jail since the November 2009 mass shooting on Fort Hood where he is accused of 13 counts of premeditated murder and 32 counts of attempted premeditated murder.
