Amarillo Had a Fire Tornado

What’s worse that a grass fire? A grass fire along with a fire tornado.

ABC News tweeted out video of a grass fire near Amarillo, Texas that showed a fire tornado moving through a blazing field.

The fire was burning just East of Rick Husband Amarillo International Airport.

AFD said preliminary estimates are 50 to 100 acres burned before they got it under control. Best news was that no one was injured, and no structures were burned.

So it’s the perfect fire, plus, an amazing image of a lifetime – the Fire Tornado.

What does it take to make a fire tornado? Well, fire, and wind. The Slow Mo Guys demonstrate.
