After visiting Texas many times, Louisiana native Darren Gauthier has finally crossed over the Sabine Pass into the Lone Star State as the new Operations Manager for Townsquare Media’s five stations in Central Texas. Originally from New Orleans, Darren grew up in nearby Baton Rouge and is a proud alum of LSU. Darren got his start at the campus radio station KLSU, rising to the role of station manager before being lured to work in the exciting world of New Orleans rock radio. Darren returned to Baton Rouge in 2001 rising to the top of the programming food chain while holding down a six-day airshift for a decade. One of the stations he oversaw was twice-nominated for the prestigious Marconi award - radio’s version of the Oscar® - in 2012 and again in 2015. Seeking new challenges and a change of scene, Darren Gauthier was recruited by K-101.7 and the sister stations to bring a personal touch and a renewed sense of community focus to the stations in Killeen and Temple.

Do you believe in karma? I do. There's some form of it also known as the golden rule in every single one of the world's religions. I also believe in the inherent goodness of humankind. Student Attempting to Take Nude Selfie Drives Into Police Car
File under "d'oh!"
This is the world we live in: a twenty-year-old college co-ed at A&M wanted to take a nude selfie while she was driving.

Texas to Russian Request to Monitor Election: Nyet!
Let me start off by stating this emphatically: we here in America are still the good guys, and there is enough evidence coming out of Russia of these days that they are still the bad guys over 20 years after the fall of communism. And I will broach no discussion otherwise!

Texas is Always Ranked With the Best Cities in America, but What About the Smaller Ones!?
If there's anything Texans don't appreciate it's those from outside our state passing judgment on us. I'm not saying that we see ourselves as above even the most constructive criticism. What I'm saying is that your attempts at ranking which cities in Texas are better than others don't matter to how we feel about ourselves and other cities...
