kcentv.com - KCEN HD - Waco, Temple, and Killeen   How would you feel if your 9 year-old daughter came home crying to you saying:

...no one wants to be her friend now because her hair was not as pretty as the assistant principals.

Last week Marian Reed explained what happened after receiving a call that her daughter's hair was out of compliance with the school dress code. Officials in the district were notified and said they were 'enforcing the dress code and being consistent'.

Belton ISD says her hair looked too much like a mo-hawk. Reed went on to say she doesn't think it's a racist situation, but that maybe some cultural diversity training should be instituted.

Marian posted about the incident with her daughter on Facebook and received a lot of support. The post has been shared almost 500 times.
