Benjamin William Nelson Sentenced to 20 Years in Prison
Leave the children alone, or go to jail. Simple math people.
KWTX is reporting that Benjamin William Nelson, 28, was sentenced to 20 years in prison after pleading guilty to five counts of online solicitation of a minor.
He'll be required to register as a sex offender when he gets out.
Nelson was arrested last February 27th at his Waco apartment on warrants issued in Hill County.
He was serving as pastor of Peoria Baptist Church while attending Baylor's Truett Seminary.
Affidavits issued in the case say Nelson was caught having sex with a 13-year-old girl outside her house by her mother. While the mother and daughter were standing at the back of the car, Nelson started the car and tried to run over her.
Nelson and the girl were communicating on Snapchat for about two weeks before they set up their meeting.
The girl said he touched her in the sex places, and that she performed oral on him.
