Police are investigating after a man’s body was pulled from Stillhouse Hollow Marina in Belton Thursday afternoon.

According to the Temple Daily Telegram, the body of 77-year-old Robert Morgan Tarbet of McGregor was discovered 15 feet from the shore around 3:30PM. Tarbet was wearing scuba diving gear when he was pulled from the water.

Tarbet was pronounced dead at 4:27 PM. His body was transported to Temple Mortuary Services, and authorities do not suspect foul play. An autopsy has not been ordered.

A marina employee said Tarbet was diving near the Island View Pavillion at Stillhouse Park and had asked employees about recreational activities in the area.
