Boil Water Notice Issued for Elm Creek

There have been several boil notices all over Bell County recently - particularly due to flooding - and the latest from the Elm Creek Water Supply Corp in Moody.The notice was issued due to a water leak that is affecting the area of Stampede Road west of Sate Highway 317, Munz Road, and the area near the 10,000 block of West Payne Branch Road.

The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality told the Elm Creek Water Supply to notify their customers to boil water before consumption. In order to make sure any harmful bacteria or microbes are removed, water must be brought to a rolling boil and then cooled before drinking or making ice.
