From asinine to disturbing to great, BuzzFeed has become culturally relevant with their list posts (sorry David Letterman). They've taken ownership of the idea, and turned anyone else with a "Top whatever story" into a copycat.

Millions upon millions of people view their stories everyday, and with titles such as "The 45 Most Powerful Images of 2011," and "The 25 Most Awkward Cat Sleeping Positions," it's hard not to. These guys have revolutionized the way the world reads their "news."

This week BuzzFeed published a story that caught our attention: Top 5 list of Genuine Country Artists Hiding in Texas. The list includes five scene staples: Turnpike Troubadours, "Turnpike Troubadors is no doubt a fan favorite, but with their videos on YouTube only reaching 100,000-200,000 views they are virtually still undiscovered. The new album was produced in a chicken coop turned into a makeshift recording studio located in northern California."

Also making the list Jason Eady, Cody Jinks, Zane Williams, and Aaron Watson. Read what Zach King, BuzzFeed contributor, has to say about these guys.
