News 10 is reporting that Central Texas man was arrested after trying to meet up with a fake 14-year-old for sex.

David Eugene Loveless, 42, of Valley Mills unknowingly started communicating with a Bellmead detective who was posing as a 14-year-old girl online.

Eugene set up a meeting with the undercover detective after sending “multiple sexually suggestive messages” and “eventually solicited the decoy to meet for sex.”

KWTX said, "He arrived at the agreed upon location at around 3 p.m. Tuesday and then attempted to flee, but drove only a short distance before pulling into a dead end, where he was forced to stop, police said."

According to police Eugene faces charges that include online solicitation of a minor and evading in a motor vehicle.

Police often go undercover and pose as underage children looking for sex in order to catch predators in the act.
