Christmas on Craigslist – Killeen/Temple Edition
Craigslist is a magical place, as long as you pick and choose wisely, where you can find hidden gems at little-to -no cost. I like to think of it as an online garage sale. Able to haggle? Check. Uncertainty regarding the item you just bought? Of course. Potential to buy a collectible the original owner has NO IDEA about? I hope so. But even some of the most mundane items like a broken door or a vintage bathtub can be utilized with some creativity and elbow grease.
We are two days away from Christmas morning. You can take that as a either a warning or a countdown for sheer joy. It depends if you're prepared or not. For those of you who thrive on procrastination and shallow pockets (like myself), I have created a list of Craigslist items you can find in your area that are being given away FOR FREE.
Who wouldn't want a free pup! A blue and red Pit mix could be a welcoming sight for a home. Just make sure she has her shots, meets your city requirements, and is a good fit for you and your family.
Again, make sure he has his shots before introducing him to your household, but look at that face! The ad mentions he's been taken to the vet and gets along with other cats and dogs.
Well, as you can see it used to be black. But a coat of paint (really any color you choose) could certainly spiff it up.
Ugh! I just bought a TV yesterday. I wish I wrote this article sooner. The ad says it works fine but has no remote control. A small price to pay considering it's FREE!
It's Christmas time and if you're fortunate enough to have a fireplace (or fire pit), there's no reason to pass on free firewood so you can sip on your eggnog, listening to the roaring fire and crackling of twigs.
I've been searching for a local Christmas lights show for a couple weeks and to think, all I had to do was go on Craigslist. A family posted that for the last three years they've been putting on a 70,000 light display in their front yard for everyone to enjoy. They run it from 6-10 p.m. between December 18 to January 10, 2016 and each show lasts about 20 minutes. Unless it is raining, of course. They ask to please be considerate of neighbors.

A free piano that is over 100 years old. It's at least worth checking out if you have an aspiring musician in the family. I once grabbed a piano from Craigslist - bring your strongest friends to help you to move it. Your back will thank you for it.
This one is only up for grabs today! Owner is giving it away along with every accessory needed to keep it running because they are moving. If you think the piano listed above is tough to move, this one's a doozie. No issues with any of the accessories or the pool itself.
