The city of Temple have announced that because of the heavy rains, the wastewater collection system experienced a significant wastewater overflow at Lions Park.

If you were looking for the reason why the Insane Inflatable 5K was postponed, this is it.

The City of Temple says that approximately 100,000 gallons of wastewater overflow happened at the following locations...

2400 blk of S. 61st Street

4209 Ermine Trl

2808 Brykerwood

1600 blk S 57th & Ave P

4400 Blk Antelope Trl

3813 Loop Dr

924 N 4th St (Jackson Park)

4105 Hickory Rd

The City of Temple says that this spill has no way harmed the City's public potable water supply. But, if you're using private drinking water supplies within a half mile of the spill sight, you should boil water.

If you come in contact with said wastewater, you should bath and wash your clothes as soon as possible.

Per  regulation, the City of Temple notified the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality.
