Fort Hood is opening its gates with a "Hood Howdy" this Thursday to welcome newcomers to Fort Hood as well as everyone else in surrounding communities.

What: Hood Howdy

When: February 4th, 9 am to 1 pm - free and open to all

Where: Club Hood - 24th Street at Tank Destroyer Boulevard, Bldg. 5764

Located at Club Hood on 24th Street at Tank Destroyer Boulevard , Bldg. 5764, the Hood Howdy is an information haven for those unfamiliar with our local communities - so even if you've lived here a while, there are new events, businesses and activities to discover.

This family friendly event is a great way to get to know your new hometown and neighbors with Chambers of Commerce, 50+ local businesses and organizations, and your local radio stations eager to say hello and provide information.

Come by to check your favorite radio stations and say 'howdy!" for a free T-Shirt and future promotions:

  • the Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation Room for a chance to win prizes, including a Dell Laptop
  • refreshments
  • a multitude of activities
