The CSCOPE curriculum system used by almost 900 Texas school districts will no longer offer lesson plans.

The Texas Education Service Center Curriculum Collaborative, the group responsible for crafting CSCOPE, are saying they will discontinue the lesson plan system this week. The web-based CSCOPE program has been criticized by conservatives for supposed anti-American and pro-Islamic messages embedded in the curriculum.

Elements of CSCOPE will still be available, but Texas school districts will no longer be allowed to use CSCOPE lesson plans after August 30 of this year.
