As I was walking to the Kiss Studio in Copperas Cove this morning, I noticed a few of our residential neighbors had crews from the city's water department working on their meters.

In recent weeks, we've been hearing from local residents about their water bills not being correct and, in some cases, not being charged at all for water services. Well, it seems that cause has been identified.

According to KWTX News 10, residents have been experiencing bill discrepancies since the city switched from analog to digital meters in October, 2016. That metal circle (photo above) on top of your meter is the digital reader. The city says it is working to correct all the issues, but there are challenges and it will extend billing deadlines for residents.
