A Coryell County murder that took over 17 years to solve is the subject of an episode of 'Snapped' set to air on the Oxygen network Easter evening.

The episode, titled 'Margaret Litchfield', will give viewers a glimpse into the investigation of the 1999 shooting death of Raymond Litchfield at his home on Lawson Lane near Copperas Cove. Raymond's wife, Margaret, was convinced of murder in October of 2016 and sentenced to 60 years in prison.

The case seemed to have gone cold, but Litchfield's sister, Faye Powell, refused to give up and convinced investigators to keep pursuing the case. They eventually found enough evidence to put Margaret on trial in Gatesville.

Prosecutors argued that Margaret shot her husband because she had racked up thousands of dollars of debt on his credit cards, and worried about the repercussions.
