Corps of Engineers Considers Closing Parks in Winter

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Fort Worth District, will hold a public meeting Wednesday to discuss a potential winter park closure plan for Belton and Stillhouse Hollow Lake.

The meeting will be held at the Harris Community Center at 401 N Alexander St in Belton from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Corps officials are calling the meeting an “information exchange” and will take comments and suggestions from the public. The comment period will run through August 30.
