Cove Teacher’s Aide is Fired for an Improper Relationship

Once again social media unmasks a criminal suspect, this time it was a Copperas Cove teacher’s aide accused of having an improper relationship with a student.

She is 29 year old Amy Joanne Mainville, and she is accused of having sex with a 15 year old student.

A police affidavit says the boy’s mom found out about it back in August after she read some Facebook conversations between her son and the teacher’s aide.

Mom notified Cove school officials.  They conducted an investigation and notified the proper authorities.  They also fired Amy Mainville.

Mainville was arraigned Wednesday on a charge of improper relationship between an educator and a student.  She was released on $25,000 bond.

If convicted Mainville could get two to 20 years in prison

The police affidavit says Mainville admitted she had a sexual relationship with the student, telling police that the teen would come to her house at night “after the kids were asleep.”
