UPDATE: KWTX has shared a report from KCTV indicating that the victim was Miller's wife, Nicole Miller. The pair were reportedly on a date at the Jacksonville Zoo and left in separate vehicles.

When Miller arrived home, his wife was already there, and they began to argue about his whereabouts He reportedly grabbed her by the hair and struck her in the face, then threw her phone when she attempted to dial 911.


 

A former Shoemaker High School football player who made it to the NFL and is currently on the roster with the Kansas City Chiefs was arrested over the weekend for domestic battery.

According to our news partner KWTX's Matthew Ablon, Roy Miller was arrested in Jacksonville on Saturday and charged with misdemeanor domestic battery after an alleged altercation between Miller and his wife turned physical. Miller was later released in the afternoon.

The report goes on to say that the victim is no longer pressing charges. The judge also said Miller's release will be rescinded if any violence happens to the victim and that Miller is allowed to contact the victim and his family.

The Kansas Chiefs released the following statement: "This morning we were informed about an incident involving one of our players, Roy Miller. We are still in the process of gathering details on the situation. We will have no further comment at this time."
