Dawn Sears of the Grammy-nominated band the Time Jumpers has been diagnosed with Stage 3B lung cancer and is currently undergoing treatment in Nashville.

Sears, who was also a longtime member of fan-favorite Vince Gill's band, will still continue performing at the Tim Jumpers' regular, Monday night shows at 3rd and Lindsley in Music City, according to the Boot, until her treatment gets in the way of weekly performances.

The singer's husband and bandmate, Kenny Sears, has requested that the family receives privacy as they struggle through this very emotional and challenging time. We certainly hope that the dynamic vocalist and performer will be able to stay strong and positive during her treatment and recovery.

Sears is an in-demand backup vocalist, lending her voice to the likes of Tracy Byrd, Ronnie Milsap, Jim Lauderdale, Patty Loveless and Merle Haggard and many other notable country artists. Hopefully the country music community will surround her with love and support as she strives to beat her diagnosis.

Just like her 1994 solo album, we wish her 'Nothin' But Good' as the upcoming months will be very trying for this wife, mother and terrific musician.
