TV and Movie star Dennis Farina passed away Monday morning in a Scottsdale AZ hospital according to his publicist, Lori De Waal. He was 69.

I first remember Dennis in the Chuck Norris classic "Code of Silence".  It wasn't much of a stretch as he was a Chicago policeman in real life.  Then I remember seeing him in a crazy TV show called "Crime Story".  But my favorite performance was in the movie "Midnight Run" with Robert DeNiro and Charles Grodin.

He played an excellent villain, but could also handle a comedy.  His performance with Bette Midler in "That Old Feeling" was very good.  It made me laugh.

Dennis died from a blood clot in his lung.
