Eight Free Summer Concerts Courtesy of Temple Parks and Recreation
This Friday, June 5, Temple kicks off another season of Hot Summer Sounds FREE Concerts in Miller Park!
The concerts are open to all ages. Bring lawn chairs, blankets, pillows, bug spray, whatever you need to get comfortable. To make it completely free, you can bring your own food and beverages. Have pizza delivered to the park, or make a ham dinner and bring that. Pack what ever snack you want, just leave the glass bottles at home. Of course if you would rather buy food at the park, you can do that too.
Okay now I'm sure you want to know who's playing. First up this Friday, June 5, is Temple's very own Jenna McDaniel. This girl does it all, she has her own band but she also plays guitar and writes songs too. Jenna sings all the popular music from country to pop, to rock and roll, all done Jenna style!
Just last month Jenna was named Entertainer of the Year by the Music Association of Central Texas, you get to see her free before she leaves us and hops on the rich and famous train.
Temple Parks& Recreation, and Scott and White Health Plan have booked a variety of acts for the Hot Summer Sounds series, every Friday evening in June and July at Miller Park. The music begins at 7:30.
