Eight Year Old Boy’s Punishment Means Wearing a Sign That Says He’s a Bully
Last week, in Moore Oklahoma, eight-year-old, Malachi, picked a fight with a classmate over a girl.
Even though the fight never actually happened, both boys were sent to the principal's office, parents were called and the boys were suspended for three days. But Malachi's mom, Janie Petersen decided humiliation was in order.
On Wednesday night, she made Malachi stand out on a busy street corner, holding a sign that said, "I picked a fight because I'm a bully." He stood there for three hours.
Janie says, quote, "He's eight years old. First off, there's no reason for him to be all about a girl right now, and second off, assault is assault whether you're eight or 88. I'm not going to put up with it."
