Congrats to  Federick A. Garza of El Cenizo. The Texas Lottery commission has named him as the first winner of $7.5 million in the $7.500,000 Ultimate Cash game.

Federick took coin to paper and scratched his way into a much higher tax bracket. He bought the scratch ticket in the Timewise in Laredo, Texas.

Again, it is the first of 3 jackpots available in the game. The odds of the game are one in 2.52, according to TX Lottery.

The Texas Lottery sold their first ticket back in 1992 and has since generated $25 billion in revenue for the state. It's also distributed $50 billion in prizes.
