We are so excited for Ken Burns new series 'Country Music' to make its way to PBS stations across the country this September. Here in Central Texas, we will be watching it on great PBS stations like KLRU in Austin.

Beginning September 15th, Ken Burns tells the story of the people and places that brought about a true American art form. On September 4th KLRU is inviting the public to check out a special preview of the new series at ACL Live at the Moody Theater! The panel that night will include Country Music filmmakers Dayton Duncan and Julie Dunfey. You'll hear insider info from Country Music U.S.A author Bill Malone and Asleep at the Wheel's Ray Benson! Fans can enjoy clips from the upcoming eight-part 16-hour Country Music documentary which will debut on KLRU on the 15th. Many of the scenes included come from the Austin City Limits archive. ACL producer Terry Lickona will be there to moderate the panel discussion about the making of the series.

To attend the event simply fill out the RSVP with the link here: https://www.klru.org/rsvp. Doors will open at 5:30 the evening of September 4th.

There is even more to enjoy about the upcoming series on our station app and at US105FM.com. We're diving deep into the series including comments from Ken Burns himself. Fans of country music of all ages will love this series. A special thanks to KLRU for putting this event together and letting us attend and be a part of promoting the series.
