Additional Information

The Central Texas College (CTC) Fine Arts department will present its spring drama production, “Fuddy Meers,” April 23-25 in the LBJ Fine Arts Auditorium (Bldg. 112) on the CTC campus. The curtain rises at 7:30 p.m. each night.

Written by David Lindsay-Abaire, “Fuddy Meers” tells the story of Claire, who has a rare form of psychogenic amnesia which erases her memory every time she goes to sleep. Her husband and teenage son continually imprint the facts of her life. Things take a twist when Claire is abducted by the “limping man.” Soon it becomes a humorous rollercoaster ride through the day of an amnesiac as Claire tries to decipher her fractured life. As more of her past is unfolded, the bizarre characters in her life turn out to be not quite who or what they seem.

Special guest director for “Fuddy Meers” is playwright and instructor Tiffany Antone whose plays have been produced in New York, Los Angeles and Washington, D.C. She is the founder of the female playwright producing organization Little Black Dress INK. Antone teaches theatre and film workshops through The@trics Theatre and is currently teaching Voice for Theater and Development of the Motion Picture II classes at CTC.

Tickets for “Fuddy Meers” are $10 each and can be purchased at the door or online at www.ctcd.edu/finearts by clicking the “Purchase Tickets” link at the bottom of the page. Free child care will be provided by members of the CTC Child Development Center staff.
