Date and Time: Saturday, September 22nd, 2012 at 9:00 a.m.

Location: Dell Diamond, 3400 E Palm Valley Blvd RoundRock, TX 78665

Description:

Walk Now for Autism Speaks, the nation's largest grassroots autism walk program, is Autism Speaks' signature fundraising and awareness event. Powered by volunteers and families with loved ones on the autism spectrum, this successful grassroots fundraising effort not only generates vital funds for autism research but also raises awareness about the increasing prevalence of autism and the need for increased research funding to combat this complex disorder.

Provides individuals and their families and friends with a source of pride, a ray of sunshine and for those who are impacted by autism, a chance to celebrate their children’s lives in a totally accepting environment.  Thousands of people who get behind our cause are not directly affected- they just recognize the urgency of this medical crisis and are willing to help.

The Day includes an extensive Resource Fair of local autism community service providers, family-friendly activities and entertainment.

The walk is a non-athletic 1.5 mile stroll through Old Settlers Park.  Doors will open at 9am. Opening ceremonies start at 10am and the Walk Step Off starts 10:30am.
