Harker Heights and Killeen residents, on Saturday, September 21, from 9 am-2 pm, you can get rid of your hazardous household waste at the Killeen Special Events Center, 3301 South W.S. Young Drive.
Acceptable items for disposal include: household chemicals such as caustics, flammables, and poisonous and toxic chemicals; florescent lamps, mercury, paint and batteries; electronics such as televisions, computers, cell phones and copiers.
Residents may dispose of passenger vehicle tires for a fee of $2 per tire (payment in cash only).
This collection event is open to Killeen and Harker Heights residents only. Proof of residency is required.
Temple is hosting a Hazardous Waste Collection Day on October 12 for all Bell County residents.
