Additional Information

Come Celebrate Christmas at the Temple Ronald McDonald House with Light a Light: Share a Night,  Thursday, December 5th  from 5 until 7 p.m. at the Ronald McDonald House, 2415 S. 47th Street.

This is the night when Christmas lights are officially lit on the Ronald McDonald House.

KWTX Weatherman Brady Taylor, Ronald McDonald, and Santa Claus will host the annual House lighting.   Entertainment will be provided by the Belton High School Madrigal and Scott Elementary School ChoirChimes.

The Ronald McDonald House provides a home away from home for families who live more than 45 miles from Temple and have children being treated at local hospitals.  Families can have a “soft place to land” during stressful times.  They are close to their hospitalized children, helping them heal faster, and parents have a place to relax.

Lights may be sponsored for $10 each, which is the amount we ask each family to donate for one night’s stay at our House.  For the tenth year, Christmas Décor will decorate the exterior of the House and volunteers will decorate the inside. There will be refreshments, entertainment, and the lights will be lit for the season during the 6 o’clock news on KWTX-TV.
