With all the oil wells in Texas, flooding can cause a contaminated water supply.

In a report from the El Paso times, oil and various chemicals have washed into major rivers after wells became filled with water. Officials in Texas have captured lots of photos of rivers polluted with oil and fracking chemicals in recent weeks. The American Public Health Association calls this a "potential disaster" as it is expected that these pollutants will seep into groundwater, streams, and creeks.

So far, the Sabine river along the Louisiana Texas border, as well as the Trinity, Red, and Colorado rivers have all been reported to show signs of contaminated water.
