Hey Central Texas high school kids, are the cheerleaders in class today wearing their uniforms?

It ain’t supposed to be happening at Countryside High School in Clearwater, Florida.  Cheerleaders there got the word that their uniforms violate the school dress code and they can't wear them to class on game day anymore.

Several Pinellas County schools are restricting or banning the cheerleading uniforms during classroom hours because of the dress code crackdown.

Administrators say the skirts are too short and the shoulders too bare.  So cover up cheerleaders.

The Cheerleaders are very sad.

Countryside principal Gary Schlereth told the Tampa Bay Times he is working with the cheerleaders on a compromise in the classroom:  Jackets to cover bare arms, for example. Skirts may have a Velcro section of fabric added for length.

Say what??? That is just weird Mr. Principal.

He also suggested some special order track pants. In 90 degree weather?

Why don’t you just order some cheerleader dress code compliant uniforms for the classroom and they can wear the skimpy stuff at the game.

What’s your opinion?  Should the cheerleaders be allowed to violate the dress code and wear their uniforms on Game Day?

I say if the rest of the student body has to follow the dress code on Friday then Cheerleaders should too.

What do you think? Leave a comment.
