Its been a rough week in the auto industry as millions of vehicles are being recalled for various issues. Toyota earlier this week recalled their Prius and C-HR hybrids due to a fire risk and now Ford is recalling millions of its massively popular F-150 pickup trucks.

According to NBC News, the automaker is recalling nearly 2 million  F-150 regular cab and SuperCrew cab models made in model years 2015 through 2018 due to a seat belt problem that could result in smoke, and possibly even a fire, inside the vehicle.

The driver and front passenger seat-belt pretensioners, which are designed to cinch your seat belt tight when a crash is detected, use a small pyrotechnic charge that could spark a fire in an accident.

Affected owners are asked to contact their local Ford dealer and they will fix the problem for free or to check to see if your vehicle is affected, you can use Ford's Recall search by VIN NUMBER HERE.
