Former Copperas Cove High and Baylor star Robert Griffin III has been out of football since 2016, but he's back after signing a one year deal with the Baltimore Ravens according to ESPN.

Griffin was the 2nd overall pick in the 2012 NFL Draft by the Washington Redskins, but injuries hampered a promising start in which he made the Pro Bowl and the All-Rookie Team. He was cut by the Redskins in 2016, then signed with the Cleveland Browns before more injuries caused him to be cut by them after 5 games.

Griffin III is expected to backup starting quarterback Joe Flacco.
