A Fort Hood duplex was significantly damaged after a fire Sunday afternoon.

Firefighters responded to reports of a fire in the Venuable Village Community around 2 p.m. When they arrived, they found heavy smoke billowing from the room of the structure. It took crews 40 minutes to extinguish the fire and clear the scene.

There were no reports of any injuries and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
