Four Arrested Following Temple Robbery

Four men who robbed a tenant at an apartment complex laundry facility in Temple are in custody.

19-year-old Patrick O'Neal Johnson, 27-year-old Jeremy Michael Oaties, 26-year-old Deontavius D'Tarris Griffin, and 18-year-old Matthew Diaz are behind bars in the Bell County Jail, each on $150,000 bond.

Police say one of the suspects approached the victim and asked to borrow a cell phone. Shortly after, two suspects appeared and pulled a gun, demanding cash before fleeing to a vehicle where the fourth suspect was waiting. They led police on a short chase before being apprehended at the corner of 45th St. and Ave. M. Before they were stopped, police witnessed the suspects toss a handgun from the vehicle in the 1200 block of South 49th St. The gun was recovered and no injuries were reported.
