Fun Times at the Robinson Family Farm Pumpkin Patch
In the computer age that we live in, we don't always take the time out for simpler things. We don't slow down long enough to enjoy the basics. Last weekend I had the chance to do so, and every weekend through November 1st, you can do the same.
Nothing takes you back and helps you create memories like a good, old fashioned pumpkin patch. Addyson, my daughter, got her first real chance to experience that for herself. I was invited out the Robinson Family Farm Pumpkin Patch to do a live broadcast and thought it would be a great opportunity for a little family time so my wife and I packed up the "Beast" (my loving nickname for my daughter) and away we went. A little off the beaten path in Temple, but close enough to still see the 363 Loop, it was a great time. I mean where else can you find a sand box full of corn???
Usually when you take your kids to something like this you walk in expecting to spend some serious cash, but today it was only $10 for her to do all the rides, games, and even make a sand pumpkin that makes for a great souvenir to take home and put on the shelf.
Also, you can't forget the magical experience of running frantically though a field of pumpkins and finding the right one, the perfect one to make the most amazing jack-o-lantern.
If you have some time, and want to make some memories, The Robinson Family Farm Pumpkin Patch is the place to go in Temple.
