A South Temple family’s home and vehicle were damaged by a garage fire early Saturday morning.

Thomas Pechal with Temple Fire and Rescue reports that a resident of a home in the 3300 block of Red Bud Road noticed flames in the house’s garage shortly before 2:38 AM, when an emergency response was dispatched.

Firefighters reached the scene at 2:42 AM and learned that the resident had alerted family members, and everyone was evacuated safely.

Fortunately, flames were confined to the garage the fire was quickly extinguished. The scene was cleared by 4:54 AM. Fire marshals were working to determine the cause of the blaze.

No injuries were reported.
