A Georgetown police officer and his wife turned themselves in to the Williamson County Jail after allegations arose of a sexual relationship with a 17-year-old.

According to a report from KVUE's Shawna M Reding, Georgetown police officer Samuel Tejeda, 28, and his wife, Ashley Tejeda, are facing second degree felony charges following an investigation by the Texas Rangers and Georgetown Police Department.

The couple turned themselves in this morning at approximately 8 AM. On January 26, the Georgetown Police Department was alerted of the couple's alleged activities. The following day a criminal investigation was opened, and Samuel Tejeda was placed on administrative leave.

By January 29, officials obtained a search warrant for the Tejeda residence, and four days later an arrest warrant was issued for Samuel Tejeda and his wife Ashley Tejeda.

Williamson County Jail records show the two remained in custody Wednesday afternoon.

Police have not released details about the how long the the couple allegedly engaged in sexual acts with the minor. Officials have stated that Samuel Tejeda knew the victim personally, and not through any connections with law enforcement.

Tejeda has been an officer with the Georgetown Police Department since March 2018. Prior to working as an officer for Georgetown, Tejeda was a reserve officer in Jarrell, and graduated from the police academy in January 2017.

I did some further digging and found the couple's wedding website. It appears the couple was wed December 30, 2019. Samuel and Ashley both have daughters from previous relationships and welcomed a son in 2019.

On the site Ashley wrote, "Every woman has this fairytale they have built in their mind, I never thought that my fairytale would play out the way it has. It’s not all rainbows and glitter, but I wouldn’t want it to be with any other man."

Yikes, I bet she didn't think her fairytale would end up like this.

It's surprising that after only a year of marriage the couple would allegedly be engaging in such vile acts. I'm all for couples spicing up their marriage, but obviously only with consenting ADULTS.
