The Laguna Vista Police Department shared some great shots of officers removing a giant rattle snake to their facebook wall recently. Even more impressive is the video from KTRK that shows off the staring contest between one brave Texas cat and a king-sized rattler.

As temperatures warm up, snakes become more active. That's the message from the south Texas police department who removed the snake in the video above. Texans know that once the temperatures gets up to about 80 degrees or higher, snakes become much more active.

Last summer we shared information about Bell County's go-to-guy for snake removal, David Brittain. We wish David the best of luck this spring and summer. Stay safe out there buddy!
