Grammy Winners Will Now Headline Killeen, Texas Epic Gala
The Gold Star Gala has now been announced for November 2, 2023 at the Killeen Civic and Conference Center in Killeen, Texas. The evening headlining entertainment is none other than multi-Grammy Award winning musical group Take 6.
The group started as a collection of college friends in Huntsville, Alabama at Oakwood College, now Oakwood University in 1980. I personally didn't come to know their talents until the 90s when I became a Brian McKnight fan in 1992.
As you know, when you dig deeper into researching anything, you begin to learn a lot about the topic. That is when I learned McKnight was from a very talented musical family that included his older brother Claude McKnight III who founded Take 6.

Why is the Gold Star Gala being held?
AdventHealth Central Texas is hosting this event as a fundraiser to maintain, and acquire much needed new equipment for their facilities. The goal is to raise enough funding to purchase a 3D mammography machine and a Hana Orthopedic Surgical Table for the hospital.
The evening will not only feature a performance by Take 6, but will also be catered with fine dining, cocktails, raffle prizes, and both a live and silent auction. Formal attire is requested to enjoy this once in a lifetime opportunity.
