Authorities arrested a man early Wednesday morning after he reportedly led them on a chase through Harker Heights and Killeen.

Kathleen Serie with our news partner, KWTX, reported that the chase started when a driver refused to pull over for a traffic near Knights Way and Amy Lane in Harker Heights.

Police say the suspect fled at speeds over 80 mph. The chase ended near Robinett Road when the suspect drove through a bridge guardrail, went airborne, and landed in a grassy field.

The suspect fled on food for about a block, but was quickly apprehended. No injuries were reported, and the man will be charged with evading arrest in a vehicle.
