Human Skeletal Remains Found on Local Ranch

Police are investigating after human skeletal remains were found on a ranch between Valley Mills and Crawford Saturday.

The McLennan County Sherriff’s department responded to a call in the 500 block of Hogcreek Road over the weekend and discovered remains they believe belong to a man in his 20s. That man’s name has not been released, and the remains are being sent to a forensics lab in Dallas to confirm the police identification.

The man is believed to have been a McLennan County resident who was not reported missing, but hadn’t been seen in quite some time. Deputies say the man was not associated with the ranch where his remains were found.

This is the second time this month that human remains have been found in McLennan County.
