TxDOT announced today that there'll be nightly lane closures between I35 in Belton and FM 2410 all this week.

Get ready for a slower ride home if you're driving I-14 between I-35 in Belton to FM 2410.

According to a TxDOT news release that was issued on Monday, closures are expected on that route as crews will be working some different operations including milling, striping, detour construction, and other work.

The work is expected to close both westbound and eastbound lanes throughout the week.

The road crews will start nightly at 7p and work through the night till 6a so depending on when your driving through the areas, you may see some slowing and detours will be clearly marked. TxDOT expects to have the work completed by Saturday, December 12.

The work is being done as I-14 is expanding from four lanes to six. The work may slow you down now but once completed, it'll be smooth sailing.

Please remember to use caution in the work zones and slower speeds are expected. Pay close attention to construction personnel and equipment.
