John Potter is fighting to keep his daughter from kicking him out of his Ohio home, a home that he built.  An Internet Fundraising Campaign has raised more than $138,000 so Mr. Potter can buy back his home. What a nice Birthday Present, on Thursday Mr. Potter will be 92!  More than 5,000 people donated toward his original $125,000 goal, Mr. Potter’s granddaughter helped him post a thank you video to all contributors.

John Potter has lived in the same house for 54 years, ever since the 91-year-old veteran returned from World War II.  According to Mr. Potter, his daughter, Janis Cottrill and her husband used power of attorney to sign Potter's house over to themselves and — despite two court battles — the judge ruled in the Cottrills' favor. "I laid awake at night trying to figure out what I could've done to make them so angry at me," Potter said.  His granddaughter, (Janis' daughter), Jaclyn Fraley started raising money  to buy his house back. "My dream is for my grandfather to live out his life in the home he loves so much," she said.

The home is getting appraised today, then Potter can make an offer to buy it. If all goes well he should be able to stay in the home he built, for the rest of his life.
