JC Penny Stores In Killeen and Temple Will NOT Be Closing

Who knew JC Penny has their own news room? They do! And they've got good news for Bell County residents!

According to JCPNewsroom.com the Bell County locations will not be included in the list of 9 stores in Texas selected to close this year.

While that may be good news for us but times aren't exactly easy for the company. They will close 138 stores nationwide and that is expected to have an affect on some 5000 positions across JC Penny.

JC Penny say they are working hard to relocate employees who want to stay with them and are willing to find a new store to work at. The original press release about the closings can be found here. The list of stores that will be closing this year are all listed here.
