Josh Abbott Band Forced to Cancel Two Shows After Mass Shooting in Las Vegas
In the wake of the deadly shooting rampage in Las Vegas on Sunday, which left 58 dead and hundreds injured, the Josh Abbott Band has been forced to cancel its appearance at Wolf Pen Creek in College Station this Friday and the Heart O' Texas Fair in Waco on Saturday.
The band was performing last Sunday (Oct. 1) at Route 91 Harvest Festival in Las Vegas before a gunman opened fire on the 22,000 plus in attendance, and were still in the area during the attack.
According to KWTX, "the band's manger said the band members need time to recover mentally from the shooting at the end of the three-day Route 91 Harvest Festival at which the band performed. The country band's equipment is still at the scene of the mass shooting and will not be released by FBI investigators before this weekend."
