A Killeen man suspected of murdering two people and injuring three others Tuesday is now behind bars. Rico Doyle was taken into custody shortly before 11 p.m. Wednesday after police found him hiding in a vacant apartment.

Officers responded to a call about a suspicious person in the 800 block of Houston at 10:47 p.m. While searching the area, they found Doyle hiding in an empty apartment and detained him until he could be identified. He was then taken to the Killeen City Jail where he remained Thursday morning pending transfer to the Bell County Jail. He's been charged with two counts of murder and three counts of aggravated assault.

Doyle is suspected of fatally shooting 42-year-old Kysha D. Edmond-Gray and 38-year-old Deanna Louise Buster at a an apartment complex at 420 Gilmer St. early Tuesday morning. Two other women and a man were also injured in that shooting and transported to Metroplex Hospital and Baylor Scott and White.
